The National Association of Bookmakers
is the largest organisation of individual bookmakers in the UK, with its strength coming from the support it receives from seven regional affiliated associations
which represent the combined interests of both the interdependent 'on' and 'off'-course bookmakers.
The NAB is the only Association that provides representation on all of the following Industry Committees:
- Administration Of Gambling On Tracks Ltd. (AGT)
- Local Joint Pitch Councils (Nationwide)
- British Greyhound Racing Fund
The NAB is a founding member of the Federation of Racecourse Bookmakers

Letter received by Robin Grossmith
FRB Director, Robin Grossmith, received a letter with regard to assistance with Additional Restriction Grants which local authorities across the UK have discretionary powers to distribute to businesses. The letter was signed by S. Price but contained no contact information and Mr. Grossmith would be grateful if the individual would contact him to discuss the content of this letter further.

The FRB have made a number of submissions on behalf of its members over the last few weeks. We have finalised our submission on the Gambling Act 2005 review and included a number of recommendations.
The FRB has also made a submission on the proposal by the Gambling Commission to increase fees from 2021 and voiced our concerns and objections to this proposal.
Most bookmakers will have seen many news articles regarding a proposal to restrict losses by individuals when gambling and the FRB has made a submission to the DCMS with strong reservations and concerns that this would not be practical and would be damaging to our industry as a whole.
We continue to support our members' interests through these difficult times and look forward to us all returning to the racecourse soon.
Keep safe and well.
