The NAB seeks to raise the status and prestige of bookmaking, to safeguard the rights and interests of its members while mindful of the needs of the Horseracing and Greyhound Racing industries, and to give practical help and advice to the membership both directly and through the affiliated area associations.
In pursuing these objectives, the NAB will reflect the wishes of its constituent member associations, adopt a constructive attitude in its dealings with other organisations in the racing industry and, where appropriate, act in tandem with them for the common good.
By virtue of its membership, which includes both 'on' and 'off'-course bookmakers, the NAB's aims are to ensure that equal emphasis and importance is attached to the 'on' and 'off'-course interests of its membership.
The NAB is, therefore, able to make a contribution to, and on behalf of, the bookmaking and racing industries based on sound and mature judgements reflecting the views of bookmakers from throughout the United Kingdom.
